“And I’ll tell you something / I think you’ll understand / I want to hold your hand / I want to hold your hand.”
The Beatles song was meant to be literal, but RYOcones’ cone roll pack figuratively holds your hand when making cone-shaped connections.
For doobie-rolling newbies, that’s a plus.
If you feel that rolling a cone the size of a Rasta spliff is too advanced a trick, then this pack is like training wheels to roll on.
Describing the process sounds complicated, but trust us, it’s simple.
The kit includes a four inch long, cone-shaped piece of metal with a slit at the narrow end, where you wrap a filter (also included in the kit). Spin it around while you roll your extra large paper (ditto included) along the metal cone. Slide the cone out, pour your cannabis into your resulting cone-shaped hollow joint and use the cone to fill the green tightly.
Boom, bam, done, you have a cone that widens and flares at the end, rolled like an old cannabis pro (but with a little help).
The kit includes a whole host of rolling products: the cone roll itself, a plastic “doobtube” to keep your blunt fresh, lol brand rolling papers, FLY branded filters, and a V Syndicate reel card. The RYOcones website says their cone roll is compatible with “95%” of the paper and blunt wraps out there.
Even more useful, if you’re not sure how to start using the kit (and we weren’t), a handy step-by-step illustrated guide is included. If your memory is bad and you’re on the go, here’s a mini-business card-sized version in case you need the instructions with you.
we at SF Evergreen especially loved the included lanyard and hook, which let you strap your cone roller proudly around your neck. We wore it to the office and got a few confused looks and a few fits of laughter, which we shook off. The cord clearly shows that we are ready for any doob merger.
This product has a very specific purpose: rolling cones. If rolling the perfect cone isn’t your thing, you won’t find much fun. But if cone-shaped doobs are your style for medical care smoking, or if you were too intimidated to roll one yourself, the RYOcones Cone Roller Kit will hold your hand.
Cool Factor: Don’t break out this kit in front of your cannabis-enthusiastic friends if you’re embarrassed to get a little help making your own. If you’re not easily embarrassed, use the included cord to proudly display your training wheels.
practical: The package contains everything you need (except weed) to roll your own cone: filters, rolling papers, the cone roller and folding tray. The cone roller itself is solid, heavily built and exudes quality.
Affordability: RYOcones.com lists the kit for $24.95, which may be a bit pricey for a pack with some papers and a cone. Perhaps the heavy construction of the metal cone has made the price so high.
General: The full RYOcones kit is a bit pricey for what it is, but once you buy it you can buy your own papers and filters later. For those who want a little help rolling, the RYOcones Cone Roller kit is a good way to go.
