Rancho De La Fuente in Lakeport is a scenic getaway that provides a safe haven for bed and breakfasts, wine tasting, and now medical marijuana.
After operating as an event center and bed and breakfast for 11 years, new owner Jason Jones plans to expand the property to include medical cannabis patients, the report said. Lake County Record Bee.
Rancho De La Fuente’s medical marijuana center will be the first of its kind to be approved in Lake County and hopes to become just as unique. The space will have areas for patients to administer medicine, as well as two outdoor cannabis gardens, and will also feature a farmers market and classes on growing and cooking marijuana.
All of that will soon be incorporated into the 42-acre ranch, which already hosts major events such as concerts and weddings, and includes a beer and wine tasting room, in-ground pool, and bed and breakfast accommodations for up to six couples. .
“Tell me another place like this in California,” Frank Perez, the ranch’s current owner, said in an interview with the… Record Bee. “It’s not happening.”
Perez, a user of medicinal marijuana rubbing creams, had the ranch on the market for five years but decided to sell to Jones based on their mutual advocacy of marijuana.
“Every party we’ve had that was a cannabis party has been the best experience I’ve had in 11 years,” Perez told the Record Bee.
The center hopes to create a controlled and controlled environment in which to medicate, and should not mix with areas where alcohol is served. Marijuana isn’t even sold onsite — visitors can bring their own for personal use or be referred to Jones’ award-winning nearby pharmacy, D&M Compassion Center in Clearlake.
Jones believes the ranch will have all the groundwork if and when California becomes the next state to legalize recreational use.
“When it gets recreational next year, we’ll be at the forefront,” Jones told the Record-Bee. The center will be “a place to get away from the kids and families.”
