Farmer’s Reserve Galactic Cookies

My dad was in town last week and I wanted to give him some weed to take back to LA on the plane. The problem was, I only had this crazy strain called Galactic Cookies grown by Sacramento’s Farmer’s Reserve. It’s an indica-dominant cross of Face Off OG and Girl Scout cookies, and it smells so strong I couldn’t imagine sending my elderly dad to an airport with it, regardless of the current quasi-legal state of affairs.

This weed is insane. Its orange hair and crystal crust remind me of a snow-dusted Kathy Griffin – an analogy that speaks of its aesthetic beauty and strength, as I was high on my rocker when I came up with it.

In fact, I smoked a joint and got the perfect kind of stoned. I was happy, relaxed and strangely focused at the same time. The guys from Farmer’s Reserve seem to know exactly what they’re doing. Although they’ve only been around since 2015, their master breeder, a man called “Ullr” – the Norse god of snow – has been growing weed since the early 2000s – and it shows. The jar of Galactic Cookies in front of me honestly smells like the Platonic ideal of weed: earthy and floral, with a perfectly balanced skunkiness.

So yeah, get yourself a big bag of this stuff, and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I’m going to save a nugget and ride it for my dad this Thanksgiving. He will be pumped.

POTENTIAL: THC 25 percent

ODOR: Imagine a flower cart driving over a skunk on a dirt road.

APPEARANCE: Astonishing.

MEDICAL APPLICATION: As an indic-dominant hybrid, it is great for pain, anxiety, insomnia and appetite improvement.

EFFECT: Strong, but manageable. No raging thoughts, and it delivers a great body high.

FINAL VERDICT: No joke, some of the best weed I’ve ever smoked.
