Attention all cannabis researchers: The California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) has announced that it is accepting research proposals for the Cannabis Academic Research Grant and extending the submission deadline to December 22, 2022. Until $20 million in grants will be awarded. .

This grant provides funding for research projects that advance public understanding of cannabis and the impacts of cannabis legalization. Researchers at public universities in California are eligible to apply. The grant program was part of California’s 2016 Proposition 64 legalization initiative.
